Wonton Soup

For the soup:

  • 2 chicken frames
  • 1cm piece ginger, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • salt and pepper as needed

To make chicken stock: bring the water to boil. Then add chicken bones,ginger,garlic and salt and pepper as needed. simmer for 40 mins then put the sesame oil.

Wonton Mix, (mix until well combined)

  • 300gr prawn mince
  • 200 gr mince pork
  • 3 garlic,finely chopped
  • 1  1/2  tablespoon cornflour dissolved with 3 tablespoon of water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon  sesame oil
  • ½ cup finely chopped spring onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Wrap the wonton : Put a teaspoon of the mixture onto the middle of the wonton wrapper,wet the edges,and fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle. Press the edges gently together,wet on one tip, and fold the two tips together.
If you want to make a wonton soup, do not cook the wonton directly in your soup. Cook it in boiling water Cook the wontons for 3-4 minutes, remove it and add into your soup instead.

Extra:
  • 70-80  wonton wrappers
  • Any noodle you like eg:egg noodle,hokkien noodle
  • some bok coy,blanched
  • coriander leaves/vietnamese mint
  • finely chopped spring onion
  • finely chopped hot chili
  • fried onion
